Strawberry-Sheet Cake


  • °16 ounces strawberries washed and chopped
  • °1 box of white cake mix
  • °3 eggs
  • °Quarter cup of oil
  • °3 oz of strawberry jelly
  • °strawberry frosting
  • °Quarter cup of soft butter
  • °¼ ounce soft cream cheese
  • °1 teaspoon vanilla
  • °3 cups powdered sugar
  • °¼ cup of strawberry puree

Preheat oven to 350.

Start by adding strawberries to a blender or food preparation and mixing process. You will need 1 cup of strawberry puree for the cake mix, plus an additional ½ cup of strawberry puree for garnish.
Mixing cake mix, eggs, & oil in a bowl to well mixed. Adding JELL-O & 1 c strawberry puree. Blending well.
Pour into a greased 9×13 pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Let the cake cool.
While the cake is cooling, make the frosting by brushing the butter and cream cheese together. Add vanilla, powder sugar & strawberry puree. Frost cake.

  1. The recipe for the strawberry cake says strawberry jelly in the ingredients but then it calls for strawberry Jello when mixing. Which is correct – jelly or Jello?

  2. There are several discrepancies in the recipe. Is it strawberry jelly or strawberry jello? 1/4 cup of strawberry puree or 1/2 cup of strawberry puree? Is is 1/4 oz. of cream cheese or a 1/4 cup of cream cheese?
